The Story of a Japanese Child During the War in Nagasaki, Japan

During the Second World War (1945), this Japanese child in Nagasaki stood in front of the funeral pyre while carrying the body of his younger brother on his back, waiting for the time to cremate.

he grew up looking at the corpses before they were burned while biting his lip very angrily to stop himself from crying until he was bleeding from his mouth.

After a while, it was time to burn his younger brother's corpse. The guard caught him to take the corpse and told him "Give me the burden you carried on your back" the child answered the guard "It is not a burden for me, this is my brother". then he handed over the dead body of his younger brother and turned back and left.

To this day, Japan uses this image as a symbol of strength.
